Interesting to see this lamp, is it me or is the Phosphur so thin you can see the arc tube

They are all that thin at the top, must have been among the last made before the factory was closed. Can you decode the date code G77?

I#m not sure about decifering that code, but I am guessing G77 = G being the Factory Location and 77 being July 2007 or if it's the same as the ELMA (Electric Lamp Manufacturers Association) Code 77 = May 1988

If the factory location comes back as Port Elizabeth then one is correct, I would say 1988 is more likely, as the factory closed a long time ago, and these might have been in stock for a long time. The PRC lamps all dated from 2000 to 2007, as there was a big pile of dead fixtures, many suffering from fork damage. I only took the one bare arctube, it was new, with a drop of mercury on the wall and mercury still on the emitters.
