I have this exact fixture up in my backyard wired at this setting. The glare is not bad but you can't stare directly into the light.

Well it's probably not a good idea to stare directly into any kind of light. Laughing This looks nice Jace. Can you use any kind of photocell with this or does it need a special LED photocell?

Any kind of photocells....in the pic I was using a Lumatrol from September 1987 I believe...the whole top is clear (but in this case its a bit yellowed and cracked) with a blue "belt"

Funny you should use a PC from an era where LEDs were the dim dim red, yellow, and lime green ones...

Oh yes, the LEOTEK I have is around that (of course I didn't pay that much Laughing ).

I had a regular DTL photocell in my fixture before I put the SELC upward facing control in it.

Check out the price of the similar LED driver I have.....(this one has higher power than mine see how much it cost

Ouch! It is nice to see that the quality of LED street lights is improving though. These and the LeoTek ones seem to be the best out of all of them from what I've seen and heard. I will always prefer HID street lights though. I always loved looking at the HPS and MV lamp through the refractors as they warmed up for the night. Cool
