There was a LOT of this style fixtures in Illinois mostly in Cook County outside of Chicago on truss arms on some roads and a lot on intersections on traffic lights....most were HPS....but I believe I saw a few mercury or MHs....

I've seen similar looking lights on stubby poles near airports.

i actually sort of like this setup,i see similar setups like this in the downtowns of larger texas cities like waco and dallas.

The usual in the Denver area. Circular fixture, green sign, High Pressure Sodium. And LED (pixelated) for traffic.
