Ruleta traffic signal
This four-way Ruleta traffic signal is my recent acquisition. I purchased it for an offer I could not resist. It is my second Ruleta head in my collection.

From what I was told, this one in particular saw service on Coney Island in the borough Brooklyn in New York City. It was manufactured in the 1930s, and, as you could see, the traffic signal was repainted yellow after 1962.

There are some minor flaws here and there; however, overall, the traffic signal is in good condition.

A great piece of N.Y.C. traffic control memorabilia.

Nice! Was it originally green? I've never seen then repaint traffic signals here. They typicaly opt to replace them. Sad

Nice find! Traffic signals aren't repainted here either, they even replaced most of them when the city went to LED in the early 2000s.

N.Y.C.D.O.T. generally repaints its signals and equipment every 5 years or so.

Wow that's awesome! Would be cool if they did that here, but the repaint job is never as good as the factory paint job unless they totally dismantle the lights and spraypaint them or powdercoat them (which I know they don't do lol).
