Not sure the wattage and lamp type.. I gould guess mercury vapor. Haven't seen this lit at night.. Even though I HAVE been in the area at night...

But oldie fixture!

We still a good number of these both the drop lens and FCO versions all in HPS though.
LilCinnamon   [Oct 31, 2011 at 02:35 AM]
This MIGHT be HPS, it also could be MV cause the lights around here.. Some are MV.
GullWhiz   [Oct 31, 2011 at 03:23 AM]
Those were NEVER Line Materials.....only McGraw-Edison....Also they were intended to be made for HPS, but they were also available in MV...

Do you think this one is MV or HPS? I think it's more... MV I could guess.
streetlight98   [Nov 02, 2011 at 02:43 AM]
If there's no NEMA label, I'll guess MV. Unless the do retrofits....
joe_347V   [Nov 02, 2011 at 04:05 AM]
I know that the Canadian Unidors didn't seem to have NEMA tags as standard, same with the Powerlite lumes before the early 80s. The Canadian lumes at the time usually had nameplates on the outside though.

I have a Unidor and it did NOT have any NEMA tag on it....although I saw some have them......Mine is HPS.....just see if you can see a coated lamp through the refractor is the BEST bet...or go back and see it at night!

Yeah best bet is to see it at night, if you dont see a coated lamp, doesnt mean it is certainly HPS it may have a clear merc. Most Unidors I have seen do not have tags, even those made in '77. The very last ones painted in grey (sometime after about '77 or so) sometimes have tags.
