Holophane LEDgend
Located in Holyoke, MA. This fixture is on a short dead end street along with another fixture like this. I'm not sure the wattage of these lights but they did replace 100 watt HPS M-250A's. The virus has begun here in Holyoke.

I saw some being tested.....

I haven't seen any of these used here, the only LED lumes I've seen used here are the Lumec and Beta ones.

I was the one that said it looks like a crab! It was more than a year ago, and I know I posted a picture but I can't find it, I may of deleted it. But you can't argue that this doesn't look like this Laughing
streetlight98   [Sep 14, 2011 at 09:50 PM]
It does! I was thinking a red crab like MR. Krabs. Laughing

I have now also located some BETA LED fixtures on another street, those lights are just plain hideous. seems like they are testing out a bunch of the manufactures.

gailgrove   [Sep 14, 2011 at 10:46 PM]

So for some reason, this LED streetlight was replaced with another LED streetlight being a 49 watt LEOTEK GC1-20c.
gailgrove   [May 10, 2012 at 10:51 PM]
That is stupid...
Antstar85   [May 10, 2012 at 10:52 PM]
Yep I don't even understand why, this is one of two lights on this street so I didn't see the problem with leaving these up.
joe_347V   [May 10, 2012 at 11:13 PM]
Rolling Eyes Wonderful, I wonder why did that.
mercuryvaporrocks   [May 10, 2012 at 11:19 PM]
That's ridiculous to replace a working LED light with another LED one.
streetlight98   [May 10, 2012 at 11:24 PM]
That's just beyond idiotic. Rolling Eyes
Antstar85   [May 10, 2012 at 11:44 PM]
I agree, I believe these were the test fixture when the city was deciding what fixtures to use. But on a road with 4 houses and 2 poles, I think they could of left these alone.
streetlight98   [May 11, 2012 at 01:00 AM]
Come to think of it, Holophane may have let the city test them to see if they liked them. Then the city would have had to either send them back to Holophane after a certain amount of time or buy them. I think some LED companies let a municipality have a few test pilots for free or for a reduced cost for an X amount of time.
