The Bigger and smaller GE floods
Located in Hampton, NH. The on on the right is a 400 Watt MV PF-400 and the left is a 1000 Watt HPS PF-1000 both wired at 120 volts. I noticed the PF-1000 has a rather long bracket, ever seen one this long? looks like maybe a 30 inch Bracket.

i don't know why they would use such a long arm, looks more like an arm to mount a Nema or Cobrahead.

This is the only one I have seen.

That 400 watt merc isn't going to light much up with a 1KW HPS beside it!
Antstar85   [Sep 19, 2011 at 01:51 AM]
Oh I saw it lit at night Niall, and the 1k just dominated.
gailgrove   [Sep 19, 2011 at 01:55 AM]
Not surprising, I have a 1kW HPS lamp and ballast and they sure are bright!

it's like the sun vs the moon. Cool

Oh yeah, we use PF-1000 to light are stations and they are very bright.

We use PF-400. NG doesn't use anything over 400w. (Narragnsett Electric used 1000w MV floodlights though back in the day)

1kW MH lamps are insanely bright in my room much less 1kW of HPS. Razz
