My Collection Way Back in July 2009!
Well this was my collection back in July 2009, this was after my second trip to a street lighting contractor which happened days before this picture. The first light I got was the FCO 125 back in May 2009.

Hmm. You have 4 M-250R2s, but while i was in Canada i didn't see one GE streetlight.

Well different areas have different lights, you only saw a very small part of Ontario which is just a small part of Canada. GE lights are not too common here but you will find some, kind of like Powerlites in the States.

I spy BT-15 Halogen incandescent light bulb in your collection Very Happy

Yes it is, I still have the lamp somewhere but that lamp holder thing I made is long gone, so is the CFL and incandescent.

Try looking around the freeways, I think MTO uses the most GEs here.
gailgrove   [Sep 01, 2011 at 04:53 PM]
Yeah the MTO uses a fair number of them but I think it is more up to the contractor to decide what to use as long as they comply with the MTO's list of approved fixtures.

And fortunately Durastars aren't MTO approved so we won't be seeing those installed by MTO. Razz

What criteria doesn't it meet?
gailgrove   [Sep 01, 2011 at 08:05 PM]
They aren't on this list, therefore they can't get put up by the contractors. I would guess it's not on the list due to some *cough*quality*cough* issues and uh durability issues.

Thankfully, National Grid doesn't install Duras- or even AEL for that matter. Pascog Utility, which is a smaller company that is fed by National Grid, is a small utility in the Burrilville area of RI and they use Durastars and OVH.

Well I can say we are 100% DuraMush free here too!

The utility in my area decided is was a "great" idea to try out DuraGlass during the early 2000s.

They don't install them now, I guess for obvious reasons. Rolling Eyes

When was the dura-droop line started? 2003?
Antstar85   [Sep 02, 2011 at 02:15 AM]
I've seen durastars installed as early as the late 90's
