the funny thing is the electrical contractor replaced a 70 watt 113 with this, it's like a parking lot out there.

What is a 44 watt SAT-24S?
streetlight98   [Aug 17, 2011 at 10:36 PM]
It's an LED light. Check out the other pics in this album for more info. Wink

Check out ledroadwaylighting.com to learn more, I have a photo of the 88 watt version in my gallery

There's no way 44w can replace 250w HPS. Confused Nothing can beat 140 lumens/watt. I actually have a paper catalog on them. These LED lights don't seem as bad, they're actually made in Canada vs Mexico or china.

this was actually a 70 watt 113 till last year but for some reason they slapped a 250 watt up when the old light failed. the other photo of the 70 watt 115 i have is 2 poles down the street from this one. the 44 watt led aint even a bright as a 70 watt hps.

44w LED is probably as bright as 44w HPS (if they existed), just whiter light.

they have a few test ones up and they looked dim

Try and see if you can get one of these for your collection. Smile If you get one of these glass lenses, It'll be the right one for your OVG. Smile

What a difference in light going from 250 watt HPS to 44 watt LED. my father says he's gonna call the city and complain about not having enough light
streetlight98   [Sep 19, 2011 at 01:47 AM]
It's a big difference in going from 50w HPS to 44w LED. LEDs just aren't cut out for streetlighting

I would of rather of seen them take down the fixtures than put these lights up since it looks Luke there's no light anyway.
