Strange Little Floods
I found about 16 of these tiny little mercury floods at an old grain terminal, I have no idea who made these but they look almost like a small version of the Wide-Lite F-series floods.

very small. Shocked what wattage?

Nice find, they don't look much bigger than those halogen floods from the box store.

Thanks, I think they are somewhere between 100 and 175, but they might be 250. @Joseph, yeah they aren't much bigger!

I wonder what the voltage of the powerlines on top are. xD
gailgrove   [Oct 20, 2011 at 07:21 PM]
I'm not sure, I'd guess around 14 kV.
streetlight98   [Oct 20, 2011 at 10:08 PM]
Those are big insulators. I'd guess 24KV or 30KV
gailgrove   [Oct 20, 2011 at 10:23 PM]
It's hard to say, these lines actually go directly into the side of a building!
streetlight98   [Oct 20, 2011 at 10:52 PM]
did you get a pic of that? Shocked
LilCinnamon   [Oct 20, 2011 at 11:23 PM]
My insulators I own (that are about that big) held power lines that were 45 KV. Just that small section of the 45 KV lines were taken down and most of the string is still up. (The 45 KV power lines are in walking distance from my house)

I guess these might be in that range. Not sure. Probably less or more though.

And were there insulators on the side of the building?
gailgrove   [Oct 20, 2011 at 11:26 PM]
Nope, these later connect to regular distribution lines with 14 kV sized insulators, it is likely they use to be higher though. And yes there where insulators on the building, you'd be pretty hard pressed to get away without insulators. Shocked
LilCinnamon   [Oct 20, 2011 at 11:37 PM]
Do you have any street views of these power lines? Like when they connect to regular lines and when they connect to the building.

LilCinnamon   [Oct 20, 2011 at 11:49 PM]
What about when they connect to the building?
gailgrove   [Oct 21, 2011 at 12:00 AM]
There is no street view at the building, but they connects to that building way off in the distance.
LilCinnamon   [Oct 21, 2011 at 01:03 AM]
I do notice on the street view that the first pole the big insulators don't have wires on them. But the ones under it go on the top ones. So I guess those are older power lines that were changed out. and voltage lowered.
