Oh well, but at least you guys still use drop lensed lights, my local utility seems to alternate between drop lens and FCO for replacements. Rolling Eyes

Yeah I guess thats one thing to be happy about, we do have a small FCO test zone using 400 watt 125s on one side and 150 watt 115s on the other, its very interesting because the entire stretch of road uses drop lens 125 & 115s so you get a really good comparison (and drop refractor wins by a long shot)

I know, but if I don't report them then the road is dark and its a safety hazard, besides they'll go as soon as they do the next group relamping.

Has anybody noticed ael115's spilling light backwards more than say coop's?

I haven't really noticed that personally but you may be right, they should be about the same since they have the same refractor.

It may have the same refractor, but the refractor/reflector are tilted up more in the OVZ, so the light doesn't shine down on the hosue side as much.
