prehaps the Square Concrete Poles hold up better in hurricanes that the wooden ones?....i like that Teardrop Setup in the Background...the Durastars ive only Personally seen in Alabama...they better not come to Tyler! Shocked

We have some Dura-Stars Rolling Eyes but I would still like one for my collection.

Yeah we have some Durastars in my end of the city too. For some reason before I learned more about streetlights I used to think Durastars were broken streetlights Smile especially since our utility mixed them in with other fixtures.

I don't care for durastars period.

I used to think clamshells were streetlights missing the "Cobrahead casings" LOL Also I always called the L-150 streetlight broken streetlights LOL because of the exposed slipfitters!

Modern eh? I always thought clamshells are oldies! Before the cobrahead.

Clamshells provide a Classical Feel to any City...i wish they still made em

There's one fixture that looks like a clamshell to me, but not exactly considered a streetlight but more of in the NEMA bucket security light group, but can be used as street lighting in smaller roads is called the American Electric Series 110
