Sorry for the bad perspective it was the best I could get. Located in a yard of a business near Eustis, FL. These things are so small they can only use medium base incandescent bulbs.

this is a pretty neat fixture, I wonder if low wattage MV lamps can fit in this fixture?

Rych I think its from the 50s or 60s. Joe_347V, I'm sure a 50w-100w medium base mercury lamp will fit.

it's actually an Intreasting Perspective dave...cause we can see the Remote PC on the Back of the Pole. Cool

Well guys...this is an NEMA head fixture......it can have a ballast inside the head.......in matter of fact this NEMA head itself is a GE WITH a L-M refractor and reflector assembly kit.....seriously no doubt a 100 and 175 watt lamps WILL fit, you see a gumball a normal gumball refractor is huge...bigger than a regular NEMA bucket...a regular NEMA bucket is bigger than a Regent Cooper yardblaster so this refractor above can fit 175 watt MV....and remote PC is just an older way of installation....in my area....the 400 watt cobraheads from late 60s were still remote PC

When I was in Florida a few weeks ago, I found another Spherolite Jr near this, it has a tiny head.

The above light in the pic, it can take lamps up to 8-9 inches long so a 175w merc should fit.

I saw two of them today over the rear entrance of a shoestore in downtown Des Plaines. Unfortunately, both of the lenses were missing Sad
