San Diego merc 1979
For a long time I'd been wondering what kind of mercs were in my neighborhood before they were replaced with LPS in the 1980s. Going through some of my parent's old photos, I found this one from 1979. I do remember this area being lit by all clear mercury vapor. Now its all FCO HPS.

Nice old pic. I see the back of the Dart in the driveway. There is still one merc on a wooden pole on Friars in San Diego its an OV-15.

Thanks! How old is this light? I think there were older OV-15s in this area before the above light was installed because I remember the shape.

The M250A came out in '65, so this ranges from the mid 60s to the 70s. Obiviously pre 80s lol.

Duquesne Light has alot of GE M-250A's ranging from 70-150 watt HPS.

I haven't seen a lot of M-250As here, I only know of around one or two here and they've been coverted to HPS too.

I like looking at older pics and looking at older lights and road signs Very Happy
