Why do these have springs on the doors? I don't get it.

And.. I can see your toe in this pic, on the bottom right corner. xD
streetlight98   [Oct 18, 2011 at 01:06 AM]
By "springs", I'm guessing you mean those metal clips on the hinges- those are so the door isn't removed accidently
LilCinnamon   [Oct 18, 2011 at 01:27 AM]
No it IS a spring. The spring is under the door. I don't think they need them though...
streetlight98   [Oct 18, 2011 at 02:08 AM]
They don't NEED them, but like i said in the last comment they keep the door from falling off by mistake. Confused
gailgrove   [Oct 18, 2011 at 12:34 PM]
It's not actually a spring, it is only a latch that pushes in or out. But it is a good idea to have a hinge keeper!
joe_347V   [Oct 18, 2011 at 06:24 PM]
Some of the Powerlites had hinge keepers too.

How did you acquire this Model 25?
gailgrove   [Oct 19, 2011 at 07:35 PM]
A trip to a contractor, other lights I got at the same time where my model 13, a M250R2, my first B2255 and the OV-15 I was just talking about (the corroded one). There was also an M250A that I really wanted but I already had enough lights in the car, in hindsight I should of left the M250R2 (I had three at the time) and taken the M250A, it was missing the refractor but I really wish I had taken it.
LilCinnamon   [Oct 19, 2011 at 07:36 PM]
How the heck did they let you take those lights? When I went to a contractor they had a pile of lights and I couldn't take ANY! You are very lucky they let you take all those lights.

He has connections. Laughing
streetlight98   [Oct 20, 2011 at 01:57 AM]
i can't even GO to contractor yards! I don't know of any. Once I can drive in a few years I'll be patrolling around any areas that look promising. Very Happy

How does he have connections?
gailgrove   [Oct 20, 2011 at 07:20 PM]
He was just kidding, it's just that I met the CEO of that one company and he seemed to like me. Razz
GullWhiz   [Oct 20, 2011 at 07:22 PM]
It's actually called connections...LOL I have connections too......hehehehe.........it was actually unexpected connections for...me.

What is the "OK" written on this thing? I guess that happened while it was in service?
gailgrove   [Nov 23, 2011 at 12:20 AM]
That was written on there because the contractor does refurbs, they make sure the light is working and if it isn't they repair it. This one must of been checked out and was ready to be put back into service so they wrote "OK" on it plus a signature. I have since cleaned the "OK" off the light.
