Lookin' good!

Thanks, I like uninsulated splices with heat shrink, makes for a cleaner job.

Agreed. Half the time with the insulated crimps I end up "biting" off the insulator with the crimping tool because I squeeze too hard. Laughing It's either that or the wires slip out when I tug them to check the crimp. Rolling Eyes

Nice job Tony. Very clean looking.
Does Home Depot and Lowe's sell these heat shrinks?
Antstar85   [Mar 10, 2017 at 11:50 PM]
I believe they do, But I bought all this stuff on Amazon. It's like half the cost then buying it at HD.

Do you shrink the tubing by using a lighter or a torch?

I use a heat gun. They do a nice job and don't burn the insulation. I also get sealing heat shrink, prevents moisture from getting into the splice. you can see some of the sealant on the wire.

Nice job Tony. I should switch to these uninsulated crimps and heat shrink. Looks a lot better compared to the insulated ones.

Thanks Joe! I like how with the uninsulated, you can see the crimp much better than with insulated. I pfrefer the indent crimp as well, makes a way better connection.
