Can you show some of your lights from a side view?

Is this the original ballast? I see lots of wirenuts in here.

How is the socket mounted in here? It looks way different than my Model 25.

That might depend on the fixture too, I know some Powerlites that had wirenuts from the factory.

The ignitor doesn't look very original, because AE ignitors were always open board, except for the enclosed ones, those are usually boxy.

My Mode 25 doesn't have any wirenuts in it. My Cooper OVZ has a wirenut-like thing but instead of a wirenut it just crimps all the wires together like a wirenut instead of twisting.

I'm sure it is the original ballast, it is far to neat to be a replacement.
LilCinnamon   [Oct 19, 2011 at 07:35 PM]
Sometimes replacement's can be neat, depends on the person who replaced the ballast.

What does the ballast label say?
gailgrove   [Oct 19, 2011 at 07:37 PM]
I'm not sure as it is under the bracket, I can take the bracket off if you really want me to find out.
LilCinnamon   [Oct 19, 2011 at 07:41 PM]
You can do that. When you have the time to.
gailgrove   [Oct 19, 2011 at 07:42 PM]
Assuming I find my socket set I can to it tonight and report back tomorrow.
LilCinnamon   [Oct 19, 2011 at 07:51 PM]
Also, how is the socket mounted in this fixture? Looks way different than mine.
gailgrove   [Oct 19, 2011 at 08:03 PM]
Well designs change every year, plus this one was made in Canada.
LilCinnamon   [Oct 19, 2011 at 08:03 PM]
Figured that. Also I was wondering HOW the socket was mounted, is it connected to the housing?
gailgrove   [Oct 19, 2011 at 08:04 PM]
No it is connected to the reflector.
LilCinnamon   [Oct 19, 2011 at 08:06 PM]
Can you take a picture of the bak of the socket and the front up close?

Mine is mounted on the housing, and there is a screw on the reflector (under the gasket) that screws the socket in place. There was a metal plate that kept the socket in the reflector but I took that out.
gailgrove   [Oct 19, 2011 at 08:07 PM]
Alright Ian, I'll get a few pictures of it tonight.
LilCinnamon   [Oct 19, 2011 at 08:10 PM]
Okay thanks. xD I will get some pics of mine too just to show it.

Also, I think if there is no house side socket mounted on the housing the reflector should have two screws. Because on the M-250 R2 the reflector is just held in by ONE screw and there is no other thing keeping the reflector on, so the reflector tend to move around and be loose, I Never liked that about the M-250 R2.
