What time frame was this etch style used? I found a Sylvania F40T12 grow lamp on a shelve in my great-aunt's a couple years back. It replaced a dead GE 4ft 35W T12 lamp that died. She doesn't mind the purple light. In here house (once my great-grandparents' house when they were alive) there is a F92T17 fixture, a one lamp F40T12 RS strip, a two lamp F40T12 RS strip, and an 8ft 2X F40T12 wall mount reflector light in the garage and a couple of 2X F20T12 preheat reflector strips in the basement. My great-grandpa loves his fluorescent lights lol.

He's also been gone for over 10 years and was in bad health before his parting so the lamps are at least 20 years old since my great-grandma never messed around with the "big fluorescent lights". I've changed a couple of lamps since my great-grandma had left any dead fluorescent lights like the were since she knew nothing about them. She couldn't reach some of the incandescents on the ceiling either so she ended up using mostly table lamps around the house. I wonder why she never simply asked a family member to relamp her fixtures... I was too young at the time but I'm sure my dad or uncle would've done it.

My great-aunt put me in charge of fixing her lights that are too high or difficult for her to reach. She also said I'm welcome to any fluorescent fixtures as long as i put up a working replacement. She doesn't like the fluorescents that much since she said they tend to give her headaches. There are some REALLY old looking lamps in a few of the fixtures I have fixed too since they've held dead lamps for 10-15 years. There's a small stock of lamps in the basement that look old too. Hopefully if i visit soon, i can get pics.
