That looks just like those I used to see in Boston. I dunno if there's still any around in Boston or not, but it looks like one of them.
Mercuryvapor123   [Mar 06, 2014 at 01:10 PM]
There is a label on the inside of the door that reads Property of city of BOSTON. So I'm sure you did see them. Cool!

looks good with that shiny Dark Grey finnish (or silver) gives it a definite classic look though I like the 25 better this is still nice.
Mercuryvapor123   [Mar 06, 2014 at 03:41 PM]
I agree. The 25 will always be one of my favorites. Some come close but not close enough.
Form109   [Mar 06, 2014 at 05:09 PM]
the closest thing to the AE 25 is that Hubbell model the RLG I think. they're so uncommonly seen though why is the question.
Mercuryvapor123   [Mar 06, 2014 at 05:17 PM]
Well it could be is that Hubbell is so expensive. But they are good quality lights until they start to corrode badly. I know when I got mine it was really bad like it had taken a salt water bath.
streetlight98   [Mar 06, 2014 at 06:36 PM]
yeah Hubbells are expensive! Great lights though
Form109   [Mar 07, 2014 at 01:36 AM]
What causes the corrosion? And since were on price how do they compare to Cooper,GE & ect?
Mercuryvapor123   [Mar 07, 2014 at 01:40 AM]
It may be the type of aluminum they us like low grade? They are substantially more expensive than AEL, GE and COOPER.

Is this actually painted silver? I didn't know silver was a option in the AEL catalog. Is there a sticker inside that says a part number for this fixture?
Mercuryvapor123   [Mar 28, 2014 at 11:40 PM]
Well it's not really an option it's a custom order for the city of Boston. Yes it painted on. The part # is 125 25S CA MT1 R3 DG EC UL AR9204
