Nice find Dave!! I would imagine they are Sylvania, as the R47's I have are all GTE Sylvania Canada.

I believe I know of ONE Powerlite in a parking lot in MD..I have to check it out again! It's the older model of the above fixture!

Nice find Dave!, Mine also says Sylvania on the tag too but some later ones say Powerlite, inc on them.

Nice, they are all really Powerlites, some where just labelled as Sylvania when they owned Powerlite.

Didn't Sylvania own Powerlite only for a short time, like in the late 80s early 90s?

Powerlites are actually fairly common in parking lots here in the Los Angeles area. I have seen all models except the first generation Powerlites (B2217, B2215, B2213).

I'm not sure when Sylvania bought Powerlite but my B2255 from Oct '80 already had a Sylvania tag instead of a Powerlite Devices one.

I know from here that Sylvania sold off Powerlite in July '93 but my R47 from Aug '93 still has a Sylvania tag though.
