Outdoor LED Canopy fixtures at my College
This is one of the fixtures found in this post

I know the wiring isn't up to code as of now, but like I said in the other post, it isn't finished yet. Those are being powered by simply plugging in. So until the electrical team completes this project, we just plug it in to turn them on!

For night shot pics, I need enough feedback/comments in this and other picture!

Stay tuned for night shots (only if you are actually interested!!!)

What kind of LED does it use?
GullWhiz   [Sep 21, 2011 at 05:02 PM]
Beats me, but its NOT cluster at all...there's a light in the middle....

So most likely a single Luxeon unit or clone therof. I converted an old desk lamp to LED, it works very well, and runs cool, unlike when it had a 50W halogen capsule in it. 1W unit is as bright as the 20W halogen.

Maybe it has a screw in LED lamp.

How does the light distribution compare to bare LED fixtures.
GullWhiz   [Sep 21, 2011 at 06:55 PM]
I donno if they are screw in....those fixtures are designed for LED, see it has a heat sink, so I doubt it is any screw in types....
