New installation meets old!
Those old painted pole installation here are from around the 60s to the 70s...but the old fixtures on them were upgraded at one point....around the early to mid 80s as a lot of the roads or intersections that were developed from early to mid 80s are usually AE 25s and have the groove on the front.... The later 80s usually are OVMs or even OVS (as when they started using smaller fixtures for 250 watt HPS!)

You can see those old AE 25s gets to meet their new generations...the AE 325s!!!!

As for the dayburner and the loose covers.....that's because of the hurricane Irene!

Seems there are less and less and less of those wire span installations in MD, but still not rare at all....and they do sometimes in some exceptions still install new wire span traffic light systems...but lately they seem to prefer using more masts now days!

That left turn signal? on the closer span wire looks interesting.

yes....this is very typical of MD design...the new mast also has the left turn signal...look carefully...you'll see the mast on the far left has a left turn signal for the right side road....

This isn't really that crowded of traffic lights....you should see Illinois System LOL
