Thanks Jace, The bridge was the same one from this drawing and I kinda got the idea for the braced straight arms from this pic with some of the stuff changed around.
And yeah that's a gull sitting on the next pole, I wonder would it's thinking of right now?
Joe, he's a challenge for you, and I am rooting for you on the challenge! Make a night and lit version of the above pic!!! Everyone root for him! LOUDER! LOUDER!
I really don't think people are that stupid to put a cobrahead on a downward mast. Where the heck do you get these things from? xD You would never see this in real life.
I've seen similar stupidty though....not a cobrahead....but other kind of light related....oh yeah.......but you never know.....there possible could be ONE cobrahead in this world like that!
That is exactly what happens with one of the news truck with their antenna not retracted down and drove through high tension wire a couple years ago.
After the accident, they had to repair the wire and the pipe down below where the arc traveled down from the high tension to earth ground leading to the pipe.
I have Sketchup and so I could just convert it myself. Plus, I would like to "hollow out" the inside a bit so I could fit some LEDs in there or something,
Ahh ok, here's the file. It's not a exact copy of a OV25 but it sorta looks like one. Anyway it's shown mounted on a old MTO style truss arm and concrete pole. You can extract the just the light drawing from it.
And is that a tiny gull I see???

Here's some pics of some actual weird stuff done to light fixtures in the wild.
@Niall yeah, and there's also a bucket truck near this light, wonder who put it on
And if the news truck crew is traveling like this, they will loose the antenna soon...
