I always wondered how often they get sales for those since they're so expensive. Most homeowners won't need HID lamps and electricians and contractors would probably buy a case at the lighting/electrical supply house.

The hardware stores here cleared out most of their HID lamps a few years ago and only stock 70w HPS and 175w MV lamps.

Almost $30 for a 175w metal halide, what a deal. Rolling Eyes I will never understand why HID lamps at big box stores are so overpriced.

Also, has the quality on the GE metal halides improved at all?
