Westinghouse 100w 230v bulbs with European bayonet bases
You could enjoy Westinghouse bulbs in France as they use bayonet bases and their electricity is 230v. England also uses bayonet bases but the voltage is 240v. NOS, '72 vintage.
Hi Dave but you may reduce the Lamp Life when using a 230v lamp on a 240v supply, since we have had the UK 240v supply harmnised to the EU 230v we still have 240v but as all UK Filament lamps are imported from the EU and China they are rated 230 volts they now seen to fail a lot quicker than the old British 240/250v Lamps.
Most Lamps are now rerated 230 Volts, but Osram, Philips and GE still supply 240 volts some 250 volts for Special Applications (such as Industrial Lighting)
Also I have Noticed Most Supermarkets and DIY Stores seem to sell less Filament Lamps, they seem to sell GLS lookalike Halogen and Compact Fluorescent Lamps although the sell Filament Lamps they are 60 watts or under
@rjluna, the bulbs are USA made.
