100w MV Yard light
This is my custom built 100 Watt Mercury vapor Yard light that's on my shed.

I mad it from a combination of old yard blaster fixtures, regent mini bucket light 100 w MV ballast and a nice vintage Westinghouse BT-25 100w lamp.

Nice NEMA! Just missing the bucket!
bucketlight100mv   [Jun 20, 2016 at 01:56 AM]
Hey thanks. I kinda wanted it to look like it was aged and suffering from the missing "bucket syndrome" lol that some of these fixtures do. I even went so far as to make the socket in the fixture to sit more recessed in the NEMA head. I did this so the bulb wouldn't sick out so far.

Yeah I noticed the bulb seemed further in. I thought maybe it was because it was a smaller 100W instead of 175W. I have a 100W Westinghouse NEMA head. I'd like to get a 175W MV vintage GE NEMA to go with it but I'm not really a super NEMA person. I've always liked cobraheads better.

Nice NEMA head!

Hey thanks for the compliments guys. I'll post a pic just after the fixture turns on at dusk. Almost zero pinkish color when if first lights.

Is the lamp a /DX, a /W, or a /C?
bucketlight100mv   [Jun 22, 2016 at 07:30 PM]
I believe this lamp is DX coated. What would /W indicate?
streetlight98   [Jun 22, 2016 at 09:22 PM]
/C is Color Improved, /DX is Deluxe White, and /W I think is just White. All are different versions of phosphored lamps, /DX being the most advanced. /C mercs are my favorite.

What would a C MV lamp look like?
