Ancient 1000W Clamshell at Providence College
There were three of these and one OV-25 silverliner. Everything else was either acorn post tops, bell shaped lights, or older square shoeboxes with yellowed drop dish lenses, the latter likely being MV.

Nice! Is that information board about the lantern? Very Happy
Btw. 1000W - what light source? Must be a lot of light and lot of heat as well! Confused

You know, I have no idea. Would be cool if it was. It's probably a campus map or something. Never actually been there, just was roaming on Google Streetview.

Westinghouse OV-35. Super large clamshell.

Nice find! I wonder if the OV-25 was a later replacement.

I'm thinking that too. Would make sense if it's a 400W HPS too, since these clams were probably 1000W MV. The OV-25 was on a taller pole (still painted black) so I'm guessing it was a replacement for a knockdown. I wonder if these are still original or if they were converted to PSMH.
