Howard industries 250W MH ballast kit
Finally have one! It wasn't wired right and the pole never had power when it was replaced. .so its basically new! Works good too, even kept the GE MVR250/HOR lamp that was installed.  It has a curved arc tube. Its the first one inti my collection

Nice, I can see the label is still nice and smooth instead of crinkled up like on a used ballast.

i think the curved arc tube is for horizontal lamps. nice ballast!

Yeah it is, also for whatever reason the horizontal lamp cycles nonstop, the 250W MV lamp works great though

never heard of a probe start MH cycling before... weird...

I saw a MH cycle a few years back like say in 2007 or so. Since the fixture and the building was fairly old I guess it was a probe start lamp.
