Converted traffic signal insides. Here is the insides of the converted traffic signal. As you can see it has the reflectors, The lamps are three 116 watt Sylvainia Traffic 8000 hour lamps, that have been in use for a while.. Not sure how long. The lenses and lenses fit in there well, the lenses are plastic, which work fine for 116 watt incandescents. How I got them: I was driving on the road and I spotted WL contractor people working on the traffic signals. I saw that they were converting them to LED. So I parked and asked the guy if I could have some of the old stuff and I got three reflectors, three lenses, an Incandescent pedestrian signal, a Dialight Yellow LED module, and some lamps. Converted traffic signal insides.

Here is the insides of the converted traffic signal. As you can see it has the reflectors, The lamps are three 116 watt Sylvainia Traffic 8000 hour lamps, that have been in use for a while.. Not sure how long.

The lenses and lenses fit in there well, the lenses are plastic, which work fine for 116 watt incandescents.

That's a odd way to mount a reflector, normally the pins are at the top and bottom of the signal.

Yeah mine is the opposite...pins at top and bottom instead of sides...

This is the best way to mount the reflector in this signal. When I put them on the top and bottom (I've tried) the reflector just won't stay in. These reflectors I don't think are made for this signal so it's hard to put these in, but the fit in well enough to work.

Hmm yeah the correct reflectors look more like this but you did do a nice job adapting the reflector to fit. Do you happen to know what kind of signal it came out of?

That's the same model and brand signal I have so yeah those would be the right reflectors.

And I am not sure.. I think they might of been Eagle ones, I bet our traffic signal expert will know.

Ok, it looks like the lenses in yours is the same type as the one in the listing, plastic I assume?

By the way can you post a shot of the incandescent ped you got or even the other stuff too, I'm interested in seeing how it looks like.

Sure, I will get some pics of it now. The ped one had an LED stop module thing in it, and an incandescent lamp too. Let me work on that,

Those aren't original reflectors to the signal, thats why they don't fit. Original Lexalite/ICC/Safetran reflectors were mirrorized plastic and hinged to the existing bosses in the housing. Metal reflectors were an option in these

They aren't Eagles either. They are TCT/Peek or McCain

Common in most Safetran/ICC/Lexalite heads. Eagle used plastic reflectors in the 1982-1993 (2nd generation) of DURASIG. As one might expect, they performed subpar to aluminum and glass reflectors. They were an early attempt to cut down on the weight of a signal.

These are metal reflectors. And I think he is right they were probably from Peek signals. Nos so sure though. At least the reflectors fit enough for it to be incandescent. xD It would be cool to have the original reflectors, but I got what I got. xD

I like this in incandescent, it does get hot, as normal incandescents do.

Yeah I run 135W bulbs in my 12" section and it sure does get hot with it on, they also have a bit of a fade out effect too when turned off.

I am using the 116 watt lamps that were in use, they are bright up close and indoors but when you try to see them outside in the bright sun from far away... they are hard to see.

Shocked 60w lamps and even 40w ones are sufficient for me. Razz The controller only allows up to 75w per lamp though. I try to stay under the max.

I like to be authentic Razz my 12" ers get 135w and 8" ers get 60 watters, all clear bulbs too.

I agree with the clear bulbs, the soft whites make the colors too white and drab especially in the red and green. But my signal looks authentic from the outside besides the fact I've been chipping off the old paint as it comes loose. Razz
