chainsaw guy picks up the bags of candy and keeps them for himself, sifting through to grab all the good stuff and putting the "crap" candy back in the basket he has for any more trick-or-treaters.

Turning down the car radio blaring commercials, sitting in crowded metropolitan traffic, and rumaging in the center console for a tube of ChapStick

sifting through all the stations and every single one has a commercial. Then you find some station playing a crappy song but it's better than commercials so you put it on.

When I drive alone I bring my phone and an AUX cable and play music off my phone's library. Commercial-free and I like every song. I don't do that with my parents in the car. for some reason I feel uncomfortable listening to "my music" around them. They listen to rock too but they probably wouldn't appreciate the heavier stuff I have lol.

I'm not gonna lie, I had a pretty good "laugh attack" reading that...it's so true! What song do you picture? (For whatever reason Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" instantly comes to mind, even though I LIKE that song!)
And I'm guessing you do what everyone else does at that point and turns it up ridiculously loud? Or do you roll your eyes at those cars when sitting at a red light?

Anyway...
Driving out of the range of a radio station, hearing it subside to static, and flipping through a pretty empty FM dial (rural area) with nothing but NPR, country, and K-love Christian repeaters.

Not ridiculously loud, but I do listen to it sorta loud. I don't have a huge bass though so it's not that irritating BRUMMMMP-BRU-BRU-BRUMMMP or anything. Rock and metal is more balanced treble and bass so it's not irritating like rap or pop lol. I don't like people to have their music loud enough where I can hear it. I can only imagine how loud it is inside the car when you can hear it outside the car.

* * *

At this point the radio is shut off and since I don't have my phone & AUX cable, I just drive silently.

Getting pissed off at people who think its their "duty"to drive slow in the left lane on the freeway to "slow down speeders" when they should either move over or get off the freeway altogether.

Honking at people angrily who back out in front of you as you're driving in a crowded downtown area with tons of paralell-parked cars (Read: downtown Sitka; that's the visual that comes to mind for me)

Sticking up your "Rhode Island Driving Finger" (middle finger) at someone who tries to pass you on a double-yellow line.
