I think to make a new banner for the site. I'd merge several photos of lit lamps (of mine) and put text over it, what do you think guys?

The last picture should be LED and you have all light source principal families there... :-)

Glad to see that you guys seem to like it :D
I have made a slight modification, now the text is yellow and black behind, easier to read.
As of the LED, I don't have any pic of an LED light source lit. If any of you would have one, let me know ;)

do you want me to make one? I am pretty good at this stuff.....I made the TudorWhiz lighting page banner myself.....I have skills on photography and I also got the skills of very very detailed editing....
I got better idea....
How about you all members send me lamps, arc tube or fixtures together and I'll combine them in creative way....and all that?
Vince you still did good....its eye catching! In fact random banners like different banners each day would sound pretty cool?

Hey Jace I can send you a few pics I have of various HID arctubes, fixtures, or fluorescent lamps lit up.
@Vince I looked at yours too, I liked the second one better which looks easier to read.

Hi guys, I have been thinking about the banner, it has not been created yet. I am still getting some ideas.
Joe has already given me wonderful close up shots of lamps. Thank you Joe, I will see what to do with them.
Guys I had a great idea for the BACKGROUND of the banner......please tell me what you think of the following picture I have taken last year before I went to work.

I would include the nifty effect of the red tail light car moving and the highmast in background along with some green leaves and plants!
I was thinking to make the text "Gallery Of Lights" font to be WHITE with perhaps some effects and some pictures of lamps and arctubes and streetlights CAREFULLY and PROFESSIONALLY cut out and floating on the banner.....(this will take a lot of work)
What do you guys think?

This is what it looks like so far, I may add lamps and fixtures on it...but first lets see if this is good...or should things be added....let us know!

When you stretch the browser window very wide, the picture repeat, it look strange, as the light level suddenly change...

what resolution are you using? The banner I created was originally 3000 pixels wide.....but it was bigger than my own screen.....but I guess we will work on it more sometime later.....

When I was editing...I blurred it a bit on purpose...because it was a bit pixelized....but I could try to fix it up...
