Hey guys I was thinking about it today and the home page of the site really doesn't look all that great or welcoming for new members. I think it would be better (if possible) to have a slightly longer intro about the site and maybe instead of the forum being the front page have random images from the site (like on the gallery page) show up as well as links (to the gallery, fourm, signup page, ect) with a brief description about each. I think this would attract more members to the site, I would like to here what the admins say (Jace, Ian) :)

Me, Ian and Vince were already thinking about it. We were gonna redesigning it and stuff.....thanks for your help. I need to really think about it, plus my mom can help since it's kinda relating to her job too. But she can't do the codes only can design!
Also we need to spread out about this page which helps makes it more popular and in other pages they should add links to their link pages or whatever helps too.
By the way this page IS in Google Search!

If I had a copy of the website code on my computer, I would work on it and test things! I know how to work with xHTML and CSS, and I learned PHP as well. I also know C/C++ which helps with PHP!
I think it'd be a good opportunity to practice!

I also like this idea of redesigning the home page too :D
A little bit OT but I also wonder if it's feasible to add a wiki on here and link it back to the home page. We could have articles about lighting manufacturers, lighting/electrical theory etc to attract more members here, and I think it would be a nice reference for everybody too.

I would love to work on this project! I wouldn't really INTEGRATE it into the website, but add a link in the yellow bar.
EDIT: I'm seeing the possibilities, and the best would be to embed the wiki into an empty page (only with bar and banner and all). I think it's doable. :)
