Title: Recessed fluorescent sockets for H.O. fluorescent lights
Post by: Jace the Gull on April 04, 2010, 09:14:53 PM
I am looking for 2 sets of those sockets (2 of them with springs and 2 for opposite sides) I tried looking all over myself such as hardware stores and stuff, even tried finding a fixture with them...no luck! The only ones I found for sale was the 8 footer fixtures which are way too big and too pricey........I wouldn't mind getting the sockets alone....they are for the powergroove I have.....

I MIGHT have a ballast for it....although I need to figure out since I only have ONE lamp....It is for my fluorescent machine display I have been working on.

Thanks!

Hey Jace, I've seen a lot of places online that sell these kind sockets, most of them don't ship to Canada or charge a lot for shipping to Canada or I'd a get a few.  There's also a bunch of them on ebay right both the plunger and the fixed ones. You could also try asking a local electrical supply place.

The spring loaded side is called the 'plunger" LOL and the other is i guess called the stationary socket, i have a bunch of them, they seem to sell them at home depot near the ballasts and everywhere here.

Is the ones I speak of have recessed bipin? I am not looking for single pin and I checked my stores...nothing..they only had the single pin ones...but no recessed Bipin ones.....I need the H.O. and V.H.O. ones....

Hey Sean...I actually got some Bipin sockets from you, but they weren't recessed, but for normal bipin style ones.....
