Title: New Information Sheets
Post by: Nevada Willis on January 01, 2014, 04:36:58 PM
Happy New Year!

I haven't been on in quite a while.  I've been busy looking up over 500 patents and going through old Electrical World papers.  I've put together several new information sheets with images and patent references that should make it easier to determine dates and such on stuff we've acquired.

I sure don't claim to know it all so if anyone spots a mistake or can think of something that needs to be added, please send me a message.

The information sheets and over 500 patents can be accessed at the bottom of this page:

Just scroll down to the "Technical Stuff" heading.

Cheers!

Willis

oh wow! you've been busy! thanks for sharing these patents you dug up. :) i loved looking at all the sketches of the lights. i didn't know the GE Powr/Bracket came out as early as 1963.

did you happen to find a patent for the GE M-150 or M-150A (i forget which one it was called). It came out in the mid 1980s if memory serves me right...

Wow! nice stuff I didn't know the OV 50 (http://www.kbrhorse.net/strpatents/3530287.pdf) had a removable optical assembly for relamping.

Another thing I noticed is the similarity of the M-400A (http://www.kbrhorse.net/strpatents/3353015.pdf) to the B2255. (http://brevets-patents.ic.gc.ca/opic-cipo/cpd/eng/patent/886690/summary.html#View_Images)

yeah that surprised me too. so sort of like a plug-in clamshell inside a cobrahead housing lol.

I had to get off the patent uploads for several weeks due to other activities. Plus my new lap top was giving me fits trying to get good screen captures of the patents, etc.   As the weather outside gets frightful I'll get the later years posted including the '80s as well as fill in some missing older patents that I've tripped over.
