Nice to use the bird for precision delivery. I saw an aircon being lifted up by a Sirkosky in town a few years ago, real precision flying with a 10 ton block underneath.

You must remember that a heavy lifter has a very special mounting under the gearbox for attaching the hoist ropes, it has a massmeter in it, some dampers to tame rope whip and most importantly the dual doubly redundant disconnectors. Standard 111Always  pyrotechnic gas generators that operated firstly a mechanical release and if that failed there was the second option, a pyro fired cutter to shear the main rope. We used to test the system with a dummy cartridge, and then tested the rounds separately, never had to use the emergency disconnect option, but good to know it was there and most likely would work when needed. My friend Gavin only ever had his work tested once, aside from the guns and bombs of course, those made good door gargoyles.
