Last comment Click to see all comments made by Medved 04/26/15 at 16:49One major difference is the insulation distance - the linear does not have two points with full mains voltage close to each other, but really as far as the overall size allows. That means the gas fill design has one constrain less, so in the theory could be better optimized for the efficacy/life.
Or lower cost...
