Gumball Updates
I extended the conduit up to the gumball and installed a WiFi controlled outlet to allow for wireless controls. I only run this part night so I used a wireless control instead of a conventional PC. I still have to shorten the cord since it was designed to reach a outlet much further away than now. I also replaced the LED I had inside with a 60w= LED filament to better emulate a clear incandescent.

Very nice! Mississauga uses wireless controls for all of the LEDs Smile

Looking good! The idea of a remotely-controlled outlet is neat! Can you control it from an app on your phone or do you need to use a legit remote and be within range of it? Would be really cool to do that to the light on my deck but my parents would never let me hardwire them to the house lol. I would love to run an overhead feed to me shed from the house, even if it's just a UF cable attached to a guy wire lol.

Thanks! The control uses Wifi so I don't need to get a separate hub for control which works for a one off light like this. There's a button on the WIfi outlet that lets you switch it on of off manually or you have to use a app on your phone.

I used this so I basically extended the conduit and installed a outlet with a extra deep in use cover to house the control.
