Hole @*!% it is a lowbay. Shocked looks liek they at least ordered it listed for wet locations (waterproof ballast housing and reflector seal)

You can see the fixture hanger where the cord goes in too. Laughing

Now that is classic! I remember the days when I was a contractor installing these in industrial buildings.

hopefully you weren't installing them as flood lights. Laughing

It kinda looks nice, kinda like an old fashioned flood light hehehehe

A little bit... Just need a primatic sag glass instead and it'll be good. I've always wondered, why do low bays, which are high wattages and in high ambient temperatures in general, have plastic lenses? you'd think they's deform after a while like plastic lenses on high wattage street lights with plastic lenses but they don't even seem to be slightly affected by the heat.

Yeah I think it does looks a bit like those old school merc floodlights. I wonder if it replaced a similar looking old school flood. The streetview shows nothing on the pole but you can see that a fixture used to be there...

I think the higher wattage lowbays might have glass refractors as I've came across a Holophane one at Restore (it looked like this) with a heavy glass refractor. It was 250w MH.

What the heck? Laughing That is weird, a low bay is not used for flood lighting! Laughing

Maybe they got it for cheap/free and figured it might work. Laughing Rolling Eyes
