@ Tony; thanks! yeah i wish the ITT 25s were more common. They're dwindling down with NGrid's shoddy maintenance lol. I pretty much report every light i see that needs servicing but all the ITT 25s are in places i don't frequently go to plus if i do it's during the day so i can't tell if ones out.
@ Joe; Ahh i see. I noticed you use "NO EXIT" signs up there a lot too. Are those a replacement for a DEAD END or NO OUTLET sign or do you guys use those as well? (no outlet means the road itself isn't a dead end but the road doesn't lead anywhere (so it's like the only road into a neighborhood whereas dead end means that road ends and doesn't lead anywhere) I've always though "dead end" and "no outlet" were odd phrases lol.
Yeah, they're pretty common here. We sorta use the NO EXIT sign in place of both the DEAD END and NO OUTLET signs here. In Quebec the signs say CUL DE SAC though.
We do have real DEAD END signs though but they're sorta rare. Usually the sign only has the checked pattern on it.
Another interesting thing I noticed is that we use a CONSTRUCTION sign in place of the ROAD WORK sign you guys use.
Ahh here we call a road that just ends a dead end and a road that ends with a circle to turn around a cul-de-sac, but there is no special cul-de-sac sign. In fact, culdesacs tend to not have any sign saying that the road ends. Typically only true dead ends have dead end signs. I've seen small developments that go nowhere will have one DEAD END sign on the main entrance road though they should have a NO OUTLET sign. People probably don't know what NO OUTLET means which is probably why we don't use it too much here lol. It sounds like it should mean something to do with electricity like there are no public outlets or something or no outlet stores nearby lol.
Are they common in RI? Im guessing by the fact theres a blank NEMA tag its HPS? Good to see the good old Model 25s. I wish they brought back the Model 25, AE should discontinue most of they're cobraheads and keep the Model 327 and bring back the Model 25. They're numbers are not high at all here anymore and 5 of them might gone as soon as construction starts again for the spring of 2014.
I like that chart, because of the construction that now makes our Model 25's between EN and CR because a huge number of them are in that area where the road is being widened.

You have quite the variety there. Our R7's are all gone now, gailgrove saved one of the last 2 that were left before construction. Unfortunatly our replacements are UFO teardrops.
Yeah those are most of the lights installed from the late 50s to today. there are other lights i may have missed too but i'm not sure... ugh yeah they're installing LED retro teardrops and acorn post tops left and right in Providence. They're replacing newer M-400s on truss poles.
originally, those truss poles held 400W Mv lights, then in the 90s the Mv lights were replaced with 250W HPS M-250R2s. Then a couple years ago the city decided to upgrade the lights to 400W HPS, using new style M-400s. Then a couple years later, the M-400s along with the poles were all removed and scrapped. What a waste... Oh, and I should add that the tear drops are incredible glare bombs and are about as bright as a 175W MH lamp.
Ever since Cooper stopped making the URB gumball, I've started to see a bare version of the King Retro Teardrops used as spot replacements in Toronto.
I suppose Cooper stopped making them since they weren't that popular, I mean Toronto and Ottawa were probably the only places that ever used them. I liked the URBs though since they were basically new gumballs instead of repro fixture styled after one.
Nice! I've always liked those Hendrix set ups, we have only one in all of Brampton that I know of. It's amazing how little space they take up on the pole, around here a comparative pole would be this.
And I may as well do one for Brampton too:

yeah all new installations done be NGrid are hendrix. NGrid is slowly replacing lines that have more than two lines with hendrix (though they're mostly targeting stretches with lots of primary lines like this pic.
