Eh so much for being maintenance-free for 20 years I guess lol. What I don't see is, if it's not intended to need servicing for 20 years, why not use a retaining screw instead of latches that, apparently, fail all-too-often? Confused

What was the old 175W light?

Yeah seen a number of pics where the "ballast tray" opens up, seems like a problem!
The old cobra was probably a GE M250 or an AEL something, I forget the name

Another thing that seems to be a huge issue is dayburning LED lights. You're not saving any money by running them 24/7. Rolling Eyes Laughing

I saw a whole row the other day that was day burning, at least 1 didn't work

Yeah, the LEDs on my street randomly decided to dayburn for the entire day yesterday. Rolling Eyes

Are the LEDs on your street on those wireless PCs like most of the other LEDs up there Joe? I hope when they eventually start using LEDs here in the next 15 years or so that they use regular PCs.

Those wireless photocontrols could be fun. A hacker with a smartphone could potentially go around & turn streetlights on & off Smile One of my friends hacked into a neighbor's X-10 system (remember those?) and messed around with his lights!

yeah i think this idea of wirelessly controlled street lights is a terrible idea. Hopefully when LEDs start popping up here in the next 15 years or whatever, they'll use regular PCs.

LOL! X10 hacking! Jeez I remember when I learned that system at school! We had so much fun messing with it, turning lights on and off on others' circuits xD
