Pile-of-lights.
|
Here is a pile of lights that were taken down from a construction project on I-25.
I only got a couple from it, two to be exact, and that refractor that is laying on the ground on the Model 25 door.
The lights I got was that OVH on the ground and the M-400 A1 FCO that is laying on the RIGHT, I got the bottom one, not the top one.
This was NOT at a contractors yard, just was a pile sitting there.

But on interstates they usually do have their own Photocells for each light.
The OVH has a broken hinge, sadly. (Noticed it at the pile) But I still took it. I cleaned it out but it still is very dirty. At least on the inside.
The M-400 A1 FCO is in good shape. better shape than that OVH. xD The M-400 A1 has a plexiglass FCO glass too. I guess that was a common thing on Medium fixtures?
There were also lots of traffic signal heads here, But I tried to keep my time here scarce. xD
I would of LOVED to take all of this. But I didn't want to seem.. greedy. xD
I am gonna show the pics of my two lights I got from here, and also show a comparison between the M-400 A1 FCO and the M-400 A2 FCO. xD
Maybe I can put that M-400 R2 400w HPS ballast on here.
There were two AE 313 power pads close by this pile, but they were on tapered E arms and looked like they ay of used those, so I didn't take them.
I am sure glad I found this pile! I dunno if I will be going back here for more though..
And also below that Model 25 in the picture you can see an M-400 A2 FCO, I should of got a better look at that light. xD
Some of these fixtures were filled with water, like that Model 25, the reflector AND housing had water in it. And the reflector was corroded a bit...
Since they are far from finishing this intersection I might be surprised to find MORE lights on this pile! I dunno yet, cause the three times I was here the pile hasn't changed. (Except for the fixtures I took are now gone. xD)
Oh and I am REALLY glad I found those drop lenses from the model 25 and M-400 R3! When I get the new M-400 R3 from Tony I am gonna put the model 25 glass on that one and the plastic refractor on the HPS one.
I wonder if this pile will get new lights. Been back here a couple times and I haven't seen any new ones yet.
