PC Sockets
|
My PC sockets arrived today. I ordered them to fix the two broken ones on my R47 and B2255, the other two are just spares I also got.
Here's some pics showing two of my PC sockets installed in my R47 and B2255. They replaced the original PC sockets both of which were broken at the right of the pic. Since the original sockets were shorter I had to get some longer screws to screw them in. The original gaskets were also shot so I used a knife and a sheet of craft foam to make a couple of new ones. I reused the original metal mounting rings that the sockets screwed on though.

My OV-10 had the PC socket @ the 10-11 O'Clock position when i got it, though I'm not sure if it was adjusted or if it was how it came from the factory. I forget how my OV-25's receptcale was oriented...
Personally, if i was a lineman, i'd aim the PC East so it'd come on a little before dusk and shut off earlier when the light is less needed. The light in front of my house is the opposite and the street is pretty dark before the light comes on yet it's usually just shutting off at 7AM when i catch the bus.
