Hmm that's weird. Also weird how they just let the feed touch the rocks and stuff. Seems like a really bad hack job here. Dispite the messy wiring, are you sure this isn't permanent?

It isn't permanent, this is in road construction for the tunnel on I-70 in Idaho Springs, CO. They have eastbound I-70 going around the mountain in the canyon and they used lights like this with wooden temporary poles. Except this one, which they mounted on the rock.

Ah I see. Very odd. Is there no room for a pole? Temporary lighting isn't used here in RI. When they do highway construction here they wait and just install the permanent lights as soon as they can instead of installing temporary lights.

I wonder why they mounted it in the rock. Razz Over here temporary lights are always on wood poles with a overhead feed. If it's a relighting project, they will just keep the old lights running until the new lights are ready though/

All of them EXCEPT for this one are on wooden poles with overhead feeds. I think that they just didn't have much room so they did this, it is temporary, after all.

Interesting. Never seen that done before.

The bracket looks rounded, like made for a pole. Laughing
