LM Spherolite Jr Mounted Here's my Spherolite Jr. mounted in it's new and semi permanent location on the deck. I used 4 3/8" stainless steel bolts to make sure it's mounted there nice and tight. I aslo clipped a couple clevis pins in the latches to ensure the refractor dosen't get unlatched from high winds. I say semi permanent since while the the mount is easily removable, I'll probably leave it up until the end of the year or until the first major snowfall. Anyway, it's plugged into a outlet on the deck and is currently manually switched with one of those outdoor remote switches. It currently has a 3500K Sylvania 23w CFL I had lying around to save energy. That being said, I don't really turn it on unless I need it lol. Keywords: American_Streetlights

Lookin' good! I guess that mount is as strong as the balusters lol. At least they're secured with screws and not nails. When they built my deck the genius put the thing together with nails. Rolling Eyes Every year we'd have to grab the hammer and nail back in the nails sticking out on the floor boards of the deck. Now that we had the deck floor done over with composite, it was done with decking screws so it's essentially maintenance free.

Thanks Mike and Darren! Yeah the mount is fairly sturdy with something small and light like the Spherolite or the Powerlite mini gumball but I don't think I would trust the mount enough to mount something like a cobra on it. The arm itself is a painted steel 1-1/4" GE straight arm which should handle the weight of even my B2255 though.

Yeah when I built the deck a while back (replaced a old deck that was rotting itself apart) I screwed everything together so I don't have to worry about nails working themselves loose every year.
