M250A2 with series ballast
« on: January 21, 2012, 08:11:19 PM »
Stumbled across THIS on eBay. According to the product code, it's a 250 merc with a series ballast. Has anyone ever seen this before? How exactly does it work? GE's current M250A2 docs also list top-mounted series ballast as an option.

It would have to be hooked up to a 6.6 amp series circuit.

If it was cheaper, I'd buy it and just but the 250w MH/MV ballast from my wallpack and stick it in there. This is my favorite style of the M-250A2. :D The sad thing is, that series ballast has never been used. :(
