instant start preheat 13W lamp..not sure how this works ..but its for use on a normal magnetic ballast

Hmm interesting. BTW, how come some preheat PL base starters glow blueish and other glow orangey before lighting the lamp?

I have a cheap work light that instant starts preheat PL lamps, oh and what colour the starter glows depends on the gas fill, the bluish starter glow should be argon and the orange-red glow should be neon.

Ahh. Are both still made? The resort i stayed at had a mix of both colors in the recessed can lights.
