Welcome to the Gallery of Lights! I'm Mike. :)

Can you post pics of your Form 400 (and other lights if you have them) in the gallery? Wouldn't you want a  refractor that fits your Form 400?  (http://www.formedplastics.com/acb/stores/1/FP004-1-P27C8.aspx) The one that i linked is a polycarbonate refractor but it will fit your Form 400.

Another thing you could do if you don't mind spending the extra cash, is to order a glass GE M-400R2 refractor (which uses the same exact style refractor as the Form 400) from Graybar or your local electrical distributor. They can order one from GE for you. It'll probably be over $100 though. I wish there was a cheap way to get good old fashioned glass refractors.

Thank you streetlight98 for the welcome and reply. My form 400 is the late style pressed aluminum. It has a GE 510 which has crack through it  :(

I will purchase the M400 A2/R2 as last resort.
In Santa Monica, Ca. they are doing a mass replacement and hopefully will get a early M400 series remote from the workers. There is a large qty. of them on the west side. They all have 510 glass in them. Got my eyes on some lovely early OV-20's and  OV-35's soon to go.

I will post some pics soon.

Have collected over the years:
OV-20 stamped
OV-20 cast
Form 400 circa 1957
Form 109
Westinghouse 60's gumball
3kw "Hollywood special" (iconic massive triple OV-35 whiteway) some of these ended up in a specialty shop in Hollywood after removal in 2005.  First thing to catch my eye when I moved to So. Cal. In 1978. Awesome to see when cruising the boulevard at night back then. For me anyway.

Promise to get some pictures up soon.

I plan on repainting the Hollywood special in original grey with black trim and wall mounting it like the one on iCarly Disney show fitted with small CFL's.   I freaked when I saw that when the granddaughters had the show on one day. Can't miss it.
