That particular bulb is made by Shanghai, China based Hongyuan Electric and is commonly sold as the "Venus" induction lamp.


A while back, a lighting store that I often visited had some Sylvania DuraOne lamps on their shelves. I had considered buying one but someone purchased all of them before I got a chance to and they have not re-stock them since.

Induction lamps cause too much interference on radios due to the high voltage/high frequency used to "induce" the charge. HID is much better. If mercs are banned, then use MH lamps.
