I'm interested to see what people are using to light their desks (Computer or other area)
I was using an "old" floor lamp (It was in the trash with a bent pole) that I modified to by removing the bent pole and I rewired it as a socket was broken
and while I hate them I am using two 26W CFLS as I can't get enough light with a two 40W bulbs (That's what the socket says as max)
I also have one of those infamous "Daylight" Lamps but I hate the color of the light (Too Blue) anyone know where I can find a FML27 light bulb with a Kelvin of around 2500-3000K?
I am now using a similar lamp that I picked up at a thrift store for a $1 It is the table model of the same type of lamp I was using before
and yes that is my stereo system for my computer as I hate computer "Grade" speakers so I have a full stereo system at my desk

For a warmer color try using a 23w CFL. I have a 27w PL light that looks like a modern cobrahead. That's the big reason why i bought it. I gives off perfect white 6500K light and has a sort of rapid/ programmed start to it.

I'm currently using a incandescent desk lamp with a 60w Reveal that's connected to a plug in slide dimmer.
