Take to Task: What's not working

Atlanta: Dark courts in need of lights

Although it's not the prime time for playing tennis, Atlanta's Bill Spencer would love to see the Candler Park tennis courts on Callan Circle fixed.  Spencer's main problem concerns the lighting: He said only two of the four courts are lit, and a "third court has only partial lights."
"The fourth court is unplayable at night," Spencer wrote.  He said this has been a situation for two years.
"If anything can be done about this, I know a lot of people would be very happy," Spencer said.
Department of Public Works spokeswoman Valerie-Bell Smith said she wasn't sure if this was a public work issue or one for the city's parks department.  After her investigation, we received this information from parks department spokeswoman Sharon Davis:
"For any repairs to the city of Atlanta facilities, we asked constituents to please call customer service at xxx-xxx-xxxx or ****************@********.***."
We'll update you on the progress.
